After waiting for days i finally got what I ordered. I ordered it on 4/12 and I got it on 4/26.This is a beautiful engineered product down to the brake cylindsers on the trucks. it's dcc adaptable. it is not a toy. A kid could never buy it. Just like the real thing in minature. I don't know why they label these products toys
they are not toys.HO RTR AC4400, UP/Flag #6200

HO Iron Horse Express Set, CSX Review

HO Iron Horse Express Set, CSX
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
We bought this Iron Horse train set at a local hobby shop and my 8 year old train-on-the-brain son loves it (we've had it for 2 days). At full-speed it stays on the track nicely, the engine is a very solid metal-plastic combination with metal wheels and a light in the cab. The hand rails around the engine are frail but designed to pop right back onto the engine (instead of breaking off) if slightly mishandled. Perfect size for a 6 foot Christmas tree display (a larger tree will warrant the purchase of a track expansion set). A far cry from my 1st HO set back in the 70's with all the little metal tabs that got lost and bent (yeah for E-Z track). You still have to be careful when connecting the track but it's a lot easier and sturdier that the old-version HO track. The box says 14 years and up, but my 8 year old has played with his grandfather's HO set and he's fine if an adult helps with the track construction and is around in case of electrical problem when he's playing with it. Controller has an internal breaker that will shut it down if there's a problem (red overload light signals breaker went off on the controller). Unplug and wait 15 minutes and the breaker resets. I got more track and it works good on the switches and other track.

HO RTR Standard RPO, D&RGW Review

Athearn's RTR passenger cars make a good train on a 4x8 layout. RPO stands for Railway Post Office, so this car would be added to your train when you want to have your train carry the mail. Normally a train would have only one of this type of car. In general these cars roll nicely and couple easily on straight track. Athearn has improved the paint jobs on the RTR line so no more fuzzy lettering. The car is fairly durable for a toy of this type, but still can't be slammed around.
The child creates the fun with this toy.

HO RTR F7 A/A, Napa Valley Wine Train #71/#72 Review

HO RTR F7 A/A, Napa Valley Wine Train #71/#72

This is a nice looking engine and is a good model of the actual Napa Valley train that is operating at present day. I attended a wedding last year in Napa and at the brunch i caught sight of a passing train. It was the Napa Valley Wine Train. It looked like a fun idea for an afternoon but did not give it to much thought after that. When I got home that week I was browsing the net and i noticed some of the passenger cars that were models of the Wine train, so I bought them. No engine though, but i was happy to get them any how. Resently I came across this engine set and i had to have it. Now my Wine train is complete and looks real cool running on my layout. The engine is nicely detailed, and the colors are authentic looking. I do not have any vineyards on my layout, but will soon. If you have wine country in your set up I recommend get this train.
