(More customer reviews)These guys are definitely second tier characters. They appear as villians/bullies in several episodes. If your child makes up stories as he plays, he may want some villians in his set.
Other bad boy engines would include Diesel, and Diesel Ten. Diesels generally are cast as rivals to the coal powered "steamies".
Salty is a "good" diesel, as is Mavis- a "female" diesel.

Iron Larry and his brother Iron Bert are diesel engines that work down in the scrapyards. They think they are far superior to steam engines and tease them whenever they can.
These two engines feature "smart magnets" that connect either way. Made of durable die-cast material, the vehicle name is printed on the bottom of each. Each measures 2.75" long.

(More customer reviews)I bought these trains for my 4 year old son for Christmas. He loves any kind of cars or trains. I was a little disappointed because they are so small. Especially for the money. I have spent less for the bigger Thomas trains and they run on batteries and go. These don't do anything. Which I guess could be good to use their imagination some and you don't have to keep up with replacing batteries.
