(More customer reviews)My three-year-old loves animals, so this seemed like it would be perfect for her. So far, it's been better than I imagined. It helps her practice her animal names & sounds, she gets to practice her ABCs & match up the letters to their names. Even the picture that was on the back of the box has become a learning toy. She has us read the names of the animals to her over & over again. We ask her which one starts with "J," for example, and we've made a game out of matching them up.

Little Tikes Push & Ride Racer Review

(More customer reviews)My daughter has definetely enjoyed pushing this car around and piling things on the seat and in the "doll" seat. I think it helped her learn to walk on her own, which is what prompted our purchase. She also likes climbing on, off, and over it. She is just starting to figure how to "ride" it herself (she knows how to and enjoys having me push her around on it.) The only thing this is missing is an inseat storage compartment. Kids love collecting and hiding things, and it seems there is plenty of space for a compartment--it doesn't need to be big. Although then the seat might not be as "ergonomic," that is if you could say it currently is. I think it would be a good idea anyway.
Assembly was easy enough for my husband, although it did take about 30 min--there are quite a few pieces that go into putting on each wheel. It'd be nice if the wheels were preinstalled but then the box would have to be a bit bigger, which isn't as economical, so consider your time spent an environmental service :)

(More customer reviews)We were in the market for a way for our 4 year old to practice buttoning, tieing, snapping, etc., in the car and at church. Although several of the reviews were concerned about the myriad of small parts that could be lost, we decided to take a chance. Perhaps the manufacturer has heard their complaints, as our version has all the pieces attached with strings, so nothing has gotten lost. Though I'm sure very young children could pull them off if they wanted to, it has stood up to our 2 and 4 yr. old boys beautifully!

Chicco Toys Play 'N Ride Train - Colors May Vary Review

(More customer reviews)We got this for my 10 month old son who is showing an interest in pushing things around and pulling up on furniture. Therefore I really appreciated the advice of another reviewer to put ankle weights in the middle compartment to keep the train from tipping over. That being said my son truly enjoys everything about this train. I really debated on this purchase because I did not know which push and ride toy to purchase or if it would really be used. I almost bought the one by Little Tikes but after reading all the reviews I decided to go for this one once I found it available with free shipping from Baby Universe. Also the fact that this one seems to be a little higher off the ground is good for my son whose height is in the 90th percentile. My son also enjoys the different levers and knobs which I also enjoy since they don't require batteries! I do agree with another reviewer that a brake would be a nice addition for when my son is "working on the train". I like the fact that this ride on toy steers very well since we have an octagon shaped living room. Obviously that may not be a concern for a lot of people. I can also see the point of the argument for a push toy that stays on a straight path but my son mainly uses it on carpet which slows the turning down when the toy is pushed.
Update: My son is now 2 1/2 and this has remained in his most played with toy collection. He now picks this over any other ride on to push around and play "crash" with. It has taken quite a beating and still looks brand new. Since it enables him to steer the train he prefers this one since he doesn't have to pick it up to turn it.
