(More customer reviews)Union Station - A classic big-city station that will fit into a very small space if you need it to (simply by reusing the platform extensions somewhere else). One of these graced my American Flyer layout for many years when I was much younger, so recommending this is probably as much about nostalgia as it is about usefulness. That said, this structure is attractive and inexpensive. If you plan to light it from the inside, you might consider spray-painting it inside and out first, to cut down on the "radioactive"-looking glow of the light coming through the walls. It also gets rid of the plastic "sheen." It's very simple to lay the white pieces out separately, spray them with Wal-Mart's 99-cent gray primer, then with Wal-Mart's 99-cent flat white, then spray the gray pieces with the gray primer, let the whole thing dry an extra day, then snap it together. (If you want to get really elaborate, hit the green parts with a coat of $3 satin [not glossy] Hunter Green.) You'd be surprised how a little extra effort and a couple dollars' worth of paint makes this building fit in with any collectible village or with any O Scale model railroad. - Paul Race, editor, Big Christmas Trains
