PlanToys Block Puzzle Review

I know it looks kind of lackluster, but my 5 year old LOVES this puzzle. The first time he pulled it out, he spent over 30 minutes on the basic puzzle. The instruciton book demonstrates ways to set the puzzle up to make it more challenging. My 5yo continues to enjoy spending 15-30 minutes blocks of times putting these shapes together. It is enjoyable for me to watch him figure out how the pieces fit together. On the downside, we have to make sure we pack the puzzle up back in the box with all the pieces so none of the pieces get lost. I highly recommend this puzzle!

Plan Toys Stacking Tree Review

I purchased this toy for my 2 year old. She absolutely loves it (as does my 8 month old and my 3 year old). All three of them use it differently, exploring the pieces (they are very smooth) and the different ways to stack them. They love that the base rocks, making the tree slightly unstable for stacking. The quality of the toy is excellent, making the Melissa and Doug stacking toys seem cheap. This toy will easily be passed along to cousins and younger children as mine grow older. Likely, no one will realize the toy's age.

The design of the stacking set is based on the concept of nature. Each wooden piece can be stacked to form different kinds of trees. Helps children learn about color variation and size.
Parents can help children recognize the different shades and sizes and motivate them to pair according to size, which will help develop vision, intelligence and eye-hand coordination. This can be related to planting a real tree in the environment helping to realize the importance of nature or do other related activities together as a family, which will help develop good relationship in the family.

Chunky Puzzle - Train Review

Chunky Puzzle - Train

My 20 month old loves this puzzle and figured it out right away. My 3.5 year old also plays with it, but it is more suitable for a younger child.
The pieces have been thrown, rolled, and bitten and is virtually indestructible.
You must supervise your young ones because the 'chimney' piece is small and poses a choking hazard.
Well worth the $7+ and I'm considering buying the other puzzles in this series...
LOVE IT :)
