Fisher Price Little People St. Patrick's Day Parade Play Set Review

Amazing that they are charging twice what the Fisher Price website is charging for the same toy. The toy itself is great, but "Bargainmart" ought to rename themselves.

Fisher-Price World of Little People Learn About Town Review

Fisher-Price World of Little People Learn About Town
Average Reviews:

I like this toy because my two-year-old twins can play with it at the same time without arguing. We got it last week, and it's still the main draw in the playroom. It comes with a boy and a girl doll, and a 4-part town for them to explore: a school, the dentist and doctor, the pet store and a pizza shop, and a swing under an apple tree.
A voice counts out loud as you push apples into the tree, and my son loves this best. My daughter likes to put the dolls in the pizza shop, and put the pizzas in the oven. They love pushing anything that results in a song, voice or sound, and there's lots of that here. I'm not sure this toy would hold the attention of 5-year-olds, but I think it's perfect for 2-3 year olds.

In this tiny town, kids learn all sorts of lessons through interactive play. Little ones learn ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes and more in a unique format that unfolds for all-around playset play. Start at the doctor and dentist offices with a weight scale and dentist chair. Then grab a snack at the shape-sorting pizza shop with four different shaped pizza disks and a shape identifier. Stop and see the animals at the sort-and-match pet shop with an interactive cash register. At the ABC school, kids learn the full alphabet and practice writing letters on the magnetic drawing board. Push on the tower to hear the entire ABC song. At the numbers treehouse, drop the 10 apple disks through the tree and the playset counts along; then press the lever to release them into the bushel. There's also an open/close door and swing for Little People figures. And at the interactive traffic signal, push down for a learning tune. Fun tunes and sound effects along the way highlight learning in each location. Includes two articulated Little People figures, table, two chairs, easel, tricycle, 10 "apple" disks and four pizza disks. Folds closed for storage with handle. Measures 44"L x 12"W x 15"H. Requires three "AA" batteries, included.

Vtech Tote and Go Laptop Review

Vtech Tote and Go Laptop
Average Reviews:

Wow! I am so glad I bought this. After reading reviews on all of the other "laptops" for children, I decided on this one after thorough research. Most complaints with other parents on the other laptops was about the LCD screen being so small, while the screen on this is perfect for its size and intent. I did not have trouble seeing anything. So it doesn't light up, I'm thankful, that's one less battery to replace. The other complaint I read about the others is that they were loud. This one is not. My children playing with their toys doesn't disturb me though. If they are learning & interacting with the toy, I'm happy.
Another fun feature on this paticular "laptop" is that it has a working mouse. You can click to enter & move it slightly left or right or up & down (it is attached to the pad) to get to another activity or participate in one of the thirty plus fun games that offer pre-K learning & Kindergarten learing...find the shape that is bigger, etc... And yes I played with it to make sure everything worked correctly & to see what & how it would be teaching my children. It does teach & it has been fun for mine. It is a sturdy laptop with more bang for the buck than the rest of the other "laptops with many complaints" out there. You will be glad you purchased this for your little one. I have NO COMPLAINTS with this product. I also get involved with my children as much as I can to show them how learning can be fun. This purchase has been a smart one! Thank you Amazon!!! Go VTech !!!!

James & his car are great. The colors are vibrant and the painted bees are adorable. This goes great with the James Goes Buzz Buzz DVD. My grandson has to play with the train anytime he watches the DVD.

PlasmaCar Red Review

PlasmaCar Red

This is a life saver in my house! I have three children that vary in age from 1 to 10 years old. All love this car! Now, the one year old is not quite ready to ride on his own yet, but he is very happy to have his big sister (3 1/2) to drive him around. She rides her purple Plasma car every day for long periods of time. It is totally kid powered and easy to drive. It takes a moment to get used to how the wheel must move back and forth to start the friction, but kids seem to catch on very well. The cars are very sturdy and big enough for my 10 year old son to ride as well. They can hold up to 200 pounds on a smooth surface and 110 pounds on a rough surface. The cars can be used indoors or outdoors. We own two, and my daughter and oldest son like to race down the driveway together. The cars also turn on a dime! They can maneuver very well getting around our tables and other furniture. It's a great toy to get your kids active and away from the TV all the time. I love the fact that no batteries are involved, yet it virtually moves on its own without peddling. Of course, the children can also use their feet if they want to go very fast. But the good thing is that there are foot rests for their feet while they drive, and it is very safe to ride, considering it is almost like sitting on the ground basically, for it is only a few inches off the floor. I am glad that there is a car that can be used for many years for lots of growing age groups. It is a bit expensive, but compared to how much use it will get verses the younger toddler cars that you have for only 1-3 years, I find it invaluable. I have even ridden it. It is fun! I can see using these cars for at least 10-12 years or more! The seat is set far enough back, that the older children can sit towards the back for more room, and the younger ones towards the front. It's a hit with all the neighborhood children that come play. That is the real test! They all want one of their own after riding. It's hard to get them to go home! Plasma cars will probably be used more than their bicycles, which the children constantly keep outgrowing. I found a hit in our household! I highly recommend them!

LEGO® DUPLO® Thomas and Friends, Spencer (3353) Review

LEGO® DUPLO® Thomas and Friends, Spencer (3353)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great starter set for my 2 year old boy. It has enough track to make a full circle, 2 train pieces (Spencer the engine and a car), a few lego duplo pieces, and Sir Topham Hatt. The train comes apart so you can build other trains/cars/trucks on the wheels, which my son just loves. We also got some more legos, and straight and curved track pieces, and he plays with it for hours on a daily basis. The tracks don't always stay together on really plush carpet, but you can connect them with flat lego pieces to solve that problem. Overall a great little train set.

Cardinal Industries Mexican Train Domino Game in an Aluminum Case Review

Cardinal Industries Mexican Train Domino Game in an Aluminum Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
A little disapointed, the original Mexican train set in the aluminum case had the nice 3/8" thick dominoes that stood on edge well (important part of playing the game) this one has everything else the same but comes with the thin 1/4" dominoes that can fall over easy. My fault for not asking and assuming it was original(there was no size spec. in the add) but still a little ??? on there part.

Cardinal Double 12 Color Dot Mexican Train Dominoes in Tin Review

Cardinal Double 12 Color Dot Mexican Train Dominoes in Tin

I bought this game on the recommendation of friends, and took it on a three week vacation. We played it frequently and enjoyed it immensely.
The dominos are durable, washable (in mild soap), pleasant to look at and have a nice, solid feel. They come in a metal tin with instructions along with a plastic "train station" for the Mexican Train version of the game.
We found the instructions didn't cover every single situation. This gave us the chance to make up rules which we found satisfactory. You can research the web to find more about this game.
