(More customer reviews)I have to help offset a horrible injustice of the 1 star provided by a reviewer who obviously misunderstood the purpose of this product. Although I agree that a young child has issues using this piece (my son is 2 and he doesn't get it), the recommended age is 3 to 5. This type of piece is not the easiest to use but it helps kids build a valuable skill and it encourages parents to participate in the train track set-up with their kids to nurture their creativity. Of course you will need a track riser to support your ascending track pieces as these are not a bridge. With two of these, a straight track piece and two track risers though - you can create yourself a cool bridge. My advice - get down on the floor and help your kids build the track. Man - it's a lot of fun. Repeat - this is not a bridge it can just help you make a bridge. :-)
