A two-year-old can put it together because it is big and they can figure out the animal shapes, but my almost 6-year-old still enjoys it because of the alphabet. The illustrations aren't genius or anything, nor are they offensively terrible. Kids really get a feeling of accomplishment by working on something so much bigger than themselves. Highly recommended.
