(More customer reviews)The toll booth is basically a cross track piece, but adds excitement to your layouts because it has a function. It's easier to incorporate then some of the bigger destinations (like the mountain tunnel) and can be used in place of other tunnels/bridges (like the mountain overpass). It's cheaper and more fun then the clock tower because it has two levels of track!
The only complaint I have is that the button that lowers the toll arm is INCREDIBLY stiff. I can barely do it so it goes without saying that my two year old can't. However, the arm can be lowered manually so it's not a reason not to buy this product! A good piece for a Thomas fan to have.
