Before you order this toy, you should know that there is some variability with what you see as the "general" Malfoy figure and what you get. The actual figure can vary because while NECA uses machines to create the cast, I heard they hand paint the figures, so in some figures, there may be some unwanted artifacts. I'm not discouraging you from ordering online; I ordered this figure online and I got a very decent figure. The toy itself is very detailed, with very good paint job overall. You can even see individual finger nails and boot creases. There is the occasional blob of paint that is not concealed properly (on my figure, it was on his ring finger), but it is compromised with the extensive details of his vest and cloak.
If you're expecting a replica of Jason Issacs (the actor who played Lucius Malfoy), you'll be disappointed. The box art certainly shows a very close resemblance to the handsome actor, but what you'll get instead is a very smooth skinned, thin-eyebrowed gentleman. For the price I paid, I wasn't expecting it to resemble the real person. The figure's still very good looking.
The figure loses his balance a couple of times when I tried to stand him on foot. If you spend enough time with it, you can probably make him stand properly by adjusting his waist and calves. I ended up using the stand/base mainly because I don't plan on moving him again. The stand also needs a bit of effort; it fits in too loosely with the heel of Lucius so it actually makes him lean forward or lean backwards. I finally got him upright after adjusting his legs. You must also be careful with the smaller pieces like his very cool wand. The wand is thinner than a toothpick, so it might snap if you force it into the figure's hands. The two accessories fit perfectly, by the way. You just need to look at the picture to see how they fit. His hands kind of expand a bit when you're pushing the wand/walking stick into the hands and they close back up, fitting the shape of whatever is in his hands. In other words, he's got a pretty firm grip on his weapons.
I bought this figure for collection purposes only, so I am not sure how fun this toy would be. I'm also pretty sure NECA toys are more for collection because they're made of soft or thin plastic so that details can be more articulated, so it probably won't last long if you clash them together. I only gave the Lucuius Malfoy figure from NECA 4 stars, but I am really satisfied with it.
