(More customer reviews)I have built several of this Airfix PBY kit, and I have had fun every time.
It's old--1966--but well made.
And even though it is 1/72 scale, it turns out quite large when you build it.
I have also built some other kits of this same plane, but this is my favorite.
The whole kit is well thought out, and comes in medium gray, which takes almost any color of paint (with the possible exception of white) well.
The model itself turns out beautifully: the lovely fish-shaped body, the big teardrop turrets, the high parasol wing.
