(More customer reviews)Bought this and the nearly identical micro cruiser for a 7 and 5yr old, respectively as gifts (only the cars and bodies are slightly different, otherwise they are identical). NOTE: If you need more than one, buy the micro cruiser in addition as each one operates the same frequency: "A" (nano racer) or "B" (micro cruiser). No batteries are required as you crank a "generator" for power. Cars are fast and resposnive (on a smooth, clean, flat surface), but only last for about three minutes on a charge...your kid will get plenty of exercise, LOL! One car stripped it's drive gears and the axles are flimsy....you have to be very careful with these as they are not too robust....no dirt or carpet racing for these puppies. I had to return one out of the two and dissapoint the 7yr old as it broke almost immediately....stripped drive gear(s). At least Amazon took it back and is going to replace it, but it is not very sturdily made (in China, where else?), and it's not exactly cheap for what it is.
