(More customer reviews)My 3 year old really loves all the battery operated Thomas trains. However some are designed where the battery almost hovers in place within the compartment without allowing the battery to rest on the base of the compartment. Anything other than extremely gentle play moves it out of place and it discontinues to run. Lets face it, 3 year old are not very gentle. This toy, like several other battery operated thomas trains have this design flaw. I end up shoving wads of paper or such under the battery and tape it down in order to keep it in place. This seems to work but really shouldn't have to be done if the toy was designed properly.
