(More customer reviews)This is a plasstic, battery-operated train that is intended for use with the Trackmaster Thomas sets. The top pulls off and it uses 1 AA battery. The battery lasts a long time, and the train goes fast compared to battery operated wooden trains. We have had this for a few years and it takes a lot of abuse. Note that the Trackmaster trains use a plastic hook to connect additional cars so this is not compatible with the better known wooden sets. You can normally find this for less than fifteen dollars. It comes with one additional coach. If you are looking to expand your Trackmaster set, then this is a good place to start.
