Forty-six pieces make up this puzzle of Thomas the Tank Engine. All of them are cut into big shapes that small hands can easily hold. In order to put the puzzle together, you have to fit it to Thomas' shape and not a defined square or rectangle border. This might be a bit challenging for younger children, but my three-year-old had very little problems with it.
Overall, this is a wonderful puzzle that will give any child (and their parents) hours of rainy day fun. Highly recommended.
