Our two and three-year-old boys love anything that moves. They fell in love with Bobcats after receiving a product video from a former contractor. We were delighted to find a life-like version of a Bobcat to indulge this love. We ordered the toy thinking that its quality would be commensurate with the price. Unfortunately, we were sorely mistaken.
For nearly $30, we expected a sturdy and hard-working toy. What we got instead is a poorly-made, flimsy plastic one. The lift gets stuck and comes out of the slots that allow it to move up and down. We're constantly having to snap the toy back together. The range of motion is poor, and the attachments don't fit snuggly. In less than five minutes, the Bobcat wasn't functioning properly.
We want our children to respect the toys we buy for them and try to make wise buying choices. But even careful play with this toy is not enough. Had we seen the toy in person, we definitely would have made another choice.
If you're contemplating buying this toy, we would discourage you from doing so. Even with a lower price, this toy isn't a good value. It doesn't have the staying-power to be used and loved.
