(More customer reviews)Since this is advertised as a block play set I expected it to be durable like blocks and easy to play. Unfortunately, we could not figure out how to get the pieces to stay in their stands. This is our biggest problem with the set. You are supposed to set the cardboard pieces into the grooves on the sides. This is almost impossible for our 3 year old (I had a hard time!) and the pieces don't fit securely into the slots anyway so you can't easily move them around to play. I would think the pieces would sit on top of the stands like a cradle, but this just isn't an intuitive or easy to use design.
The accompanying book has strange, cluttered illustrations. In some of the pictures the pigs just look mean. We might look past this if the block pieces were at all playable. The cardboard cutouts also constantly fall out of the book rather than staying put in their spots on the page which is very annoying.
Also, don't be misled by the title. This is not a block set at all. There is no building/construction element. If it was functional it could be considered a dramatic play set & book.
