(More customer reviews)Great model and, yes, you HAVE TO BUILD AND PAINT IT. You must purchase glue and/or paint if you want it to look nice. If your buying for a young kid make sure they know ho to build models. You need heat to put the tracks together. The tracks are the hardest and there are some small pieces. Overall, great product.
