(More customer reviews)I got this at Christmas from Walther's as a starter model. The build quality is excellent, tough, durable, and fast for the kids. The model was not what I was expecting for the $50 I paid. The model weighs up-wards of 3 lbs and has a powerful motor, its a bit stronger than the actual train. Works great on grades as steep as 8% with about 10 Walther's 50' plug door box cars and a caboose in tow with no problem(I recommend Walther's freight cars rugged and nicely painted). Its paint work and decals are just to die for looks better than my friends Proto 2000 F-7! It also looks great pulling streamline passengers(I recommend Con-Cor streamlines as the colors match perfectly) For the kid who's tired of the F-7 that came with his starter set this is a great upgrade in both power and looks, its also only $10 more than a life-like F-7 and cheaper than a bachmann FT.
