I am thoroughly impressed with this bridge. It is well designed, well crafted and fits very nicely with our existing Brio set.
The bridge supports work perfectly. The supports on other bridges we've owned tend to slip from under the bridge or don't provide enough stability to keep it from easily tipping or falling. These supports don't have those problems. They nicely hold the bridge and ascending track in place. Neither tipping nor falling has been a problem. To top it all off, the supports are tastefully decorated with a stone/block design.
The bridge itself is very sturdy and rigid. It's withstood rambunctious boys arms and their trains being stuck and pried loose from it. There is enough clearance for trains holding passengers to easliy pass through without arms or heads getting caught. The only problem to date with clearance is when putting the horse from the Country Crossing Play Set (#33050) into the Cattle Wagon (#33651). In this instance the horse will fit, but only if put in wagon a certain way. The horse fits through in the car provided in the play set; the cow passed through in either car.
End-to-end, including the ascending track, the bridge is rather long. For those working on a table, this does tend to limit the configurations that include the bridge. Still, as far as I -- and my two train-crazy boys -- are concerned, it's worth it.
