(More customer reviews)In the animal pen, you can lock in the animals one at a time to make corresponding sounds. There are 2 triggers in the pen that move. Based width of the animals feet, it knows what animal is in and what sounds to make. A bit loud and the pig doesn't really sound like a pig. It's a bit difficult for a small child (my daughter is 3) to lock in the animals without any adult help. When a train drives by, the animals make a noise. Works with Thomas engines. Tight fit with Thomas wooden tracks. Was disappointed that when the animals are riding on the cargo trains that they will not fit under bridges.
