(More customer reviews)We bought this toy this weekend for my 2 year old son to replace a cheap bubble mower he had used in the backyard that had broken. He loves Mater and was so excited when we saw this. We got it home and I found it very easy to snap together and he loved just pushing it around the living room. However, when we took it outside to put bubbles in it, we found that the "cap" that is supposed to hold the bubble jar in place doesn't snap down. So as soon as I had it assembled and gave it to my son, he immediately tried to pull the bubble bottle out of the reservoir and got bubbles all over his hands. Also, we found that because Mater doesn't use a motor or batteries, the bubbles only come out if he is on a hard flat surface and pushed several feet (like up and down a driveway)and very quickly. Unfortunately our back patio doesn't really allow for enough area to really get Mater going and he doesn't seem to work well in the grass. Also because my son is younger - he struggles to get enough speed to get the bubbles out. My son still enjoys pushing him around, even without the bubbles, but for $30 - I really expected more from this toy.
