(More customer reviews)Talking Gordon is one of my 2 year old son's top 3 favorite Thomas the Tank engines. For one, he's a big train and comes with a tender car. Secondly, he talks! And thirdly, his lantern lights up.
Talking Gordon is almost identical to the regular one, with the addition of a small amount of plastic on the back cab part of the train. There is also a small button on top of the roof of the cab. The rest of the train is in wood, just like the traditional ones, and very well made.
Gordon runs on button batteries, which are replaceable, and despite heavy use over a couple months, he has shown no sites of running low on power.
He has 3 sayings:
1. Hello, I'm Gordon
2. Fastest and best, I pull the Express
3. Clickety Clack, Express on the track
All in his very signature voice and inflections. Again, as I've noted in my other Thomas and Friends reviews, the volume level is just right, and on the quiet side. Very good choice by The Learning Curve, as kids area already inundated by obnoxious and loud noises.
When you're outfitting your child's main engines, I would highly recommend choosing this talking version over the regular one. On Amazon, the price difference is minimal, especially when you see how much enjoyment it will give.
