(More customer reviews)They were not kidding when they said this was a kit to assemble!!! I am not a hobbiest and thought that this would be a great addition to a homemade Christmas toy! Well, it probably will be as soon as I can get my husband to show me how to use a saudering iron. You get the blank green circut board and all the integrated circuts and chips and buttons etc. they come in a package that includes a technical schematic and you get to follow the map and sauder each tiny piece into the chipboard and then clip their excess wires. (Just be really careful about their polarity!)
If all goes just right I should have a working sound part. I assume that the working criteria is not an Amazon guarantee as it is put together by us and not them. I am not sure I would have purchased something this technical if I had been fully aware of what type of a project this was going to be or if I understood what assembly required ment here. (Much more than attaching a 9v battery!) :) If you do not have a saudering iron or the courage to learn something new...you would probably not want to purchase this item.
I think it is a fair price for what you get, if you know what you are getting!
Anyways, wish me luck! If I can pull this off, it will be a really cool addition to a super cool homemade toy!
