Press & Go Thomas Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)My son, who is now almost 20 months, received the Press & Go Thomas from his great-aunt when we were in England to visit family. I had no idea this toy was available in the U.S. -- I've looked everywhere for more like it -- and was delighted to finally find more on Amazon!
Matthew was 13 months old at the time, and this Thomas immediately became his favorite toy -- and still is! He could literally play with Thomas ALL day. Once, when Thomas went missing for a few weeks (he was eventually discovered in Mom's craft room), Matthew was so overjoyed to see him again that Thomas was pretty much the only toy he played with for three days straight.
Thomas doesn't make any noises, unless you provide them yourself, and he doesn't light up or anything ... he just rolls along when you push on the conductor's head. (Personally, I prefer toys that don't sing and dance and put on a light show. I think they're better for kids, and they're certainly better for Mom's nerves!) He rolls very well on hard floors, and does an acceptable job on Berber carpet.
Thomas seems very durable -- he's quite heavy. Except for the conductor's head coming off at some point (I think it happened when he was chucked behind the couch for the 2,543,698th time), he shows absolutely no sign of the abuse he's endured.
