(More customer reviews)This is a detailed scale model of the four-wheel streetcars that were used in hundreds of U.S. cities a century ago. It is a "Large Scale" model, 15" long and nearly 7" tall, so it is big enough to attract attention around the Christmas tree or in a Garden Railroad. This streetcar runs on 45mm (G-gauge) track, the same kind as LGB and AristoCraft trains, so it is a great add-on to any Large Scale train set, such as the Bachmann 90048 or the AristoCraft 28001. An "open streetcar," #93938, makes a nice companion piece. A Christmas version, #93941, is also available.
A smaller version, for use with indoor Christmas villages is also available with a reversing mechanism for back and forth operation - that set is #25009.
The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is that it has some parts that can be broken by small children, so they'll need some help getting it onto the track.
