(More customer reviews)Working at the quarry is one of the most important jobs on the Island of Sodor. Rheneas can be relied on to work with the rock crusher to grind the island's boulders into gravel for the roads.
Rheneas with Rock Crusher is a three train set (hence, the customary steep price). I was disappointed to find that the second car, which features a conveyor belt, was not activated by running it along the wooden track. I figured that it would work like the gold cars, where the compartment containing nuggets spins as you push the train along the track.
However, the second car must be manually elevated, and the belt must be manually moved along. The third card is only features stationary gray plastic lump to simulate a car full of rocks.
Rheneas is quite colorful, with a reddish pink finish. They seem sturdy, but surprisingly, my son doesn't take them out much. If you want one of the more elaborate Thomas and Friends trains, you'd be better off getting the Aquarium Cars, Gold Cars, or Fog Cars, in my opinion.
