(More customer reviews)I picked this kit because I could remember making a total mess out of one when I was 15. Being the 'Eleanor' of my modelling career, I approached it with a lot more caution than I normally would, and it paid off, as this kit needs locking tweezers and superglue to put together. A set of micro drills will help, too, specially when putting the wheels (they come in three sizes, don't mix them up!) on the axles.
The design being over 35 years old, there are lots of bits you need to clean up and the hair-thin axles and transmission will snap if forced. There are no window transparencies provided, though they can be made easily with PVA glue or Micro Kristal Kleer from a hobby shop.
Everything is articulated, everything turns, so the end result can be posed quite nicely on a rough terrain with the swing axles doing their thing just like the real tractor. A driver is provided, though a couple of additional grunts and a busted tank is required to really set off the model in a diorama setting.
