(More customer reviews)I was looking for a train for Santa to put around the tree and bought this one rather last minute and without much comparison shopping. It sufficed--our three-year-old son was thrilled to see a choo-choo under the tree on the big day--but I'm disappointed because the way the wheels are designed, with the front and rear wheels on separate pieces that independently swivel, it makes it completely impossible for my son to successfully put the train on the tracks. Even my husband and I have difficultly with it because once you get all the wheels correctly adjusted and on the tracks, in order to hook the cars together you have to lift one car slightly to hook it into the other and that action invariably puts a set of wheels out of alignment. It's so superbly frustrating that Santa will be looking for another train to replace it next year. Of course, this train is relatively inexpensive and, again, it successfully served its purpose in making Santa's visit that much more exciting and awe-inspiring, so it wasn't a complete bust. If/when the manufacturer decides to remedy the swiveling wheel issue, it would definitely be worth the money. (Although you still need to be prepared the first time you turn it on--it's LOUD!)
