(More customer reviews)This engine works pretty well especially considering our two year loads it up with five cars, I think it could handle a couple more. It is a little slow making the hill on his table set, but it does the job. The battery life seems pretty good, we bought the extra battery so when one goes dead the other can be charged which saves on the cost of batteries. One battery makes it through a good day of playing off an on. The instructions say 8 hours of play, but that is without pulling any cars. The only real draw back with the train is that the back wheels swivel for turning and tend to get off track on one sharp corner, but our two year old quickly caught on to helping it to prevent derailing. This train is extremely quiet, you can barely hear it running. The directions for charging are a little unclear for the length of time needed for initial charge, but other than that no real issues. Our son has an Imaginarium sight and sound train table purchased from Toys R Us which we had some trouble finding a train that was compatible, but this train works great. It is a small engine and there were no reviews so we were a little pesimistic, but once we got it up and running we were pleasantly surprised at its performance.
