(More customer reviews)Advertised given dimensions: 12.8 x 8.1 x 1.8 inches are incorrect. The house actually measures 6.5 X 5.25 X 5.5 inches. This is fine for N scale. Excellent value; very detailed-173 pieces; molded in several colors so little or no painting required; well engineered-pieces go together with little trouble.
However, the instruction page print is too small and too dim. It is especially hard to read the part numbers on page four. The color picture on the box is a big help, but it only shows two views. The back and other side are not clear on the instruction sheet.
Hints: the parts are very small, they are hard to find if you drop them on a carpet. The box says 14 years old or older. This is correct. The part numbers are located on the part stem, not the parts. The parts are very similar; so once removed, they are hard to identify. This is especially a problem if you are interrupted during construction. Don't remove a part until you are ready to assemble it.
The house looks good on my layout. I fits well with my Disney theme.
