(More customer reviews)My wide-eyed and excited 7 year old tore into the box ready to make a cool train set up. We pieced it together and found that there is nothing that KEEPS it together. Everything just lays on top of the supports or loosely within the plastic forms. If you accidentally nudge any one part of the track, supports, or buildings (as children often do), the whole thing gets screwed up requiring lots of repair and reset time. With a younger sibling wanting to play, too, we spent the day dealing with a crying child whose train set kept falling apart. Nothing (no clips, slots, boundaries - nothing) holds the track or supports in place so the whole thing is very unstable. We thought this would be such a fun toy, but it only brought frustration for everyone.
In addition, the way the tracks are laid out, you either have to buy another train or manually move the trian from the upper track to the lower track. It is not all connected. The set comes with one train.
I am also concerned about the road pieces. They are simply cardboard cutouts with a glossy surface. They will easily bend or tear and be ruined with a wet spill. It would have been better with plastic.
All in all we were disappointed with this product. This is our first Tomica purchase and I think it will be our last.
